Taylor Browett
Instructor
With over a decade of dedicated service in law enforcement, Taylor Browett has held an array of roles, both in uniform and in plain clothes. His early career revealed a deep-seated passion for teaching and enhancing officer effectiveness and safety.
Currently, Taylor serves as a Use of Force and Firearms Instructor for his agency and the provincial academy. He is a respected member of the provincial Use of Force committee and holds certifications as an Advanced Specialist and a Realistic De-escalation Instructor through Force Science®. Taylor also instructs the Methods of Instruction course with Use of Force Expert, Insp (Ret.) Chris Butler.
Taylor’s tenure at the provincial training academy spans over five years, during which he served as an instructor and later as Training Sergeant. His role involved delivering comprehensive Use of Force and firearms training to officers from various agencies, as well as leading recruit classes. Taylor’s contributions were instrumental in the development of the academy’s Strategic Communications and Recruit Firearms programs.
